Any person intending to manufacture cosmetics for sale, accept a cosmetics manufacturing contract, or import cosmetics must notify the Thai Food and Drug Administration of the details of the cosmetics before commencing manufacturing or import for sale.
Since a Thai national ID number is required to create an account for the electronic submission system for cosmetic registration, it is essential for overseas companies to designate an agent in Thailand.
